"Hello Fresh" Review

Hello lovely fellow Bloggers!

I'm back after a large break while I caught up with some work & life things with a review of something i've not seen before.

((Before I get started I just want to put out there: this is not a sponsored post. We paid for a trial about a week ago and as i've not seen much on it before I wanted to blog about what I thought.))

One evening a few weeks ago we have a nice gentleman knock on our door asking if we wanted to give Hello Fresh a go. I've never heard of it before, but it looked interesting enough to give it a trial.

It's quite a similar idea to Graze Box - you put in your order and they send you a box full of fresh and healthy ingredients along with recipe cards so you can make lovely meals. You choose from three different boxes: Classic, Veggie and Family. You then select what size you want (we have a classic box containing 3 meals for 2 people, but you can increase this depending on what box you choose.)

You're also given the option of swapping meals, so you can take a look online to see what your next order is going to be. If there's a meal there you don't like, you get the choice to swap them from 2 other meals. The only thing with this is if you don't like the swap options you can't select any other. I think a good idea would be if you could log the meals you like and what you don't like, then eventually you could choose from your favourite meals. (This might be an option though I couldn't seem to find it on their website)

One great thing about this is you're not tied into any contract. You can stop and restart the deliveries whenever you want, which is ace if you wanna go away or just want a break from it.

The idea is brilliant, especially if you're in a bit of a rut during the week wondering what to make for tea. We've all had those moments when we've wanted something healthy yet substantial and just ended up staring into the back of the fridge for hours just to end up with cheese on toast.

I really enjoyed last weeks box so I can't wait to give this weeks a go! I'll try remember to photograph one of the meal preps I do this week as I forgot this week haha. For now, here's some photos of this weeks box (got a free easter egg this week, nice touch!)

At the moment i'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing. It seems to be quite expensive but it is fresh food delivered to your door, no need to go the shops to get your ingredients, which would be perfect if you're super busy. As I work from home sometimes I don't get chance to go out to the shops for fresh food to make meals so it is appealing on that front. Not sure yet, gonna give it until the 3rd week and see then :)

Has anyone else given this a go? If so, what do you think?
